My friend and I engage in a game of catch every day. This may sound innocent enough, but these games are actually brutal stuggles placed upon the heated sands of a deserted island, with water everywhere but not a drop to drink. The two of us throw a friggin' tennis ball around under the blazing sun untill the other admits defeat by claiming he has forgotten something he has to do, or inventing another excuse. But the answer is that he is too tired to carry on the Bataan death march. These bouts of endurance have lasted up to 5 hours and 47 minutes. No joke. We are that stubborn.
During these battles of strength, my mind often wanders, my body finding comfort in the repeated motions of catching and throwing a ball. I have come up with little poems, like the one I posted yesterday. Don't know where they come from, but they give me pleasure. Also, I have perfected a couple joke philosophical arguments that most of my close freinds would know. I plan on posting them soon, as well as some other Philosophy related literature.
I dont know what has caused this latest interest in philosophy, perhaps that I have finnally gotten into Atlas Shrugged. I am so close to finnishing the brilliant novel. Ayn Rand definetly has a case, and has introduced some interesting arguments to consider, but I am not easily sucked in by that kind of conservative propoganda.
It's later than I thought. Its July 5th now.....
Untill I post again....
